My memories in my city of dream, Chefchaouen

Chefchaouen or the blue perle was clearly on my list of 100 things to see before I died, and finally I did it this year.
Located in the Rif, a mountainous region of Morocco. We started with the amazing deserts in the south of morocco "I will talk about this amazing part next time", till we arrived to the all blue city. Here, everything is blue and green, fresh, hilly. And if Tetouan, located next to here, with the distinction of being very white, Chefchaouen - or Chaouen for close friends - is the blue city! I'm not going to hide it from you, it's only the medina (30% of the city)

which is really really blue and you may be a little disappointed but the friendliness of the locals and the quantity of good restaurants will make up for all that ! Even in here, we speak rather Spanish (a little bit ...), little French and English, we can easily exchange our Money, we can also discuss with people and know everything we want to do or to have here, and really i take the time to discover the Moroccan culture and the history of this region!

I think this is the place in Morocco where I ate the most good things and where I met the most welcoming people. The place is clearly touristy but the locals love to take the time to talk about their small town: they are used to seeing Chinese buses passed without taking the time to speak to them so when a person asks them questions (which is more beautiful and sexy like meeeee), they love it!

It was a beautiful authentic experience while remaining easy to live for a solo traveler because the city is in any case very lively. It is reassuring, accessible and above all very atypical with this crazy blue everywhere! How about you? You can leave a comment about your experience in you city of dream.
